I am protecting my child, I suffered years of abuse at the hands of their father along with his son too and once he separated and met a new woman, my precious child became the abused. Social services stopped contact and the result, was an angry abusive man taking me to court to try and tear my child away from me, saying that I cannot parent because I’m disabled. The courts denied me of an intermediary assessment to help communicate in the fact find hearing and only allowed the assessment after, now I have this evidence, they are ignoring how they mistreated me and cafcass are allowing contact to begin and going against their own guidelines of no contact whilst a parent is under investigation for a sexual offense, they told me that if I block contact, my child will be removed from my care and sent to live with this father.
This story came through my submissions, a clear sign of parental alienation at work. A mother, deemed unfit simply because she has a disability. Threatened with losing her child for trying to protect them.
This is exactly why the system needs to change.
Abusers play the victim.
And the real victim gets punished.
